Support my Kili2010 Climb!

Welcome to my Personal Climb Page! The Kili 2010 climb running March 1st to 6th, 2010 will gather Internet professionals and others from around the world to climb the great Mount Kilimanjaro in an effort to raise awareness and funding for sustainable clean water solutions in the developing world. It will be a challenge in a number of ways, but with my legs, the mountain, and your generosity, a real impact will be made!

Make a Tax-Deductible contribution to bring clean water to families in Africa by sponsoring my climb up Mount Kilimanjaro. Funds raised in Kili2010 will support simple, safe, strategic, and sustainable clean water solutions to the developing world through The Water School (TWS).

TWS is an incorporated non-profit organization with a mission to provide simple, safe, strategic, and sustainable clean water solutions to the developing world. TWS was founded in 2007 by Dr. Robert Dell, a water scientist, and Fraser Edwards, a businessman with decades of experience in partnering with indigenous leaders to implement lasting change. The Water School currently implements solar disinfection through its integrated teaching program of health and hygiene.

TWS empowers schools and other existing community groups like hospitals to teach solar disinfection and provide extremely inexpensive and locally available materials to participating families. In this way, students and families are equipped with the knowledge and necessary materials to meet their own water needs. Every $50 we raise will provide a family of six with safe, clean water for life.

The summit of Mount Kilimanjaro is 19,340 feet. Organisers of the climb have set a sponsorship target of $1 per foot for all climbers, and whilst they know that will really stretch some participants others may well exceed that amount..the cause is as real as the exertion and preparation each climber has committed to the task…your encouragment through sponsorship might be all I need to actually make it to the Kili summit!  Please sponsor my climb. Whether it is 1 cent for each of the 19,340 feet, or 10 cents per foot, every penny will go to work in Africa.

Thank you in advance for your help.
